JUST A POP OF COLOR AND A POP OF CULTURE

Created by founders Sandhya Talwalker and Sanjana Reddy, Poppy shoes is a vibrant shoe line for women who are juggling it all. They tell the story of traditional Indian artistry through a modern, comfortable and stylish sneaker. Inspired by Bandhini tie dyes from Gujarat, Ikat weaves from Andhra Pradesh, Brocade silks from Varanasi and Kanchi silks from Tamil Nadu, Poppy Shoes brings together a contemporary form of design and a wearable product that globalize and celebrates these age-old traditions.

The brand identity is an explosion of color born out of Indian culture, art and design. While maintaining modernity and simplicity the brand identity draws inspiration from hand painted trucks, storefronts and signage that can be found all over India. The result is a fun and optimistic brand that highlights a rich heritage of color and craftsmanship through an accessible product.
